Two new ISPM irradiation treatments published.

On February 13, 2022, two new phystosanitary treatments using irradiation that had been adopted in 2021 were published in the form of annexes to ISPM 28:

• PT 38: Irradiation treatment for Carposina sasakii
  ISPM 28 Annex 38 (2021)
  This treatment describes the irradiation of fruits and vegetables at a minimum absorbed dose of 228 Gy to prevent the emergence of viable adults of Carposina sasakii at the stated efficacy.
• PT 39: Irradiation treatment for the genus Anastrepha
  ISPM 28 Annex 39 (2021)
  This treatment describes the irradiation of fruits and vegetables at a minimum absorbed doseof 70 Gy  to prevent the emergence of adults of Anastrepha spp. at the stated efficacy.
