Reveam and Mandich Group break ground on US’s largest phytosanitary and cold chain facility
Reveam and the Mandich Group have officially broken ground on a first-of-its-kind phytosanitary treatment and cold chain processing facility in Miami-Dade County, USA. This facility, developed through a joint venture between the two companies and in close collaboration with PortMiami and Miami International Airport, is set to become the largest of its kind in the United States and the first in Florida to integrate advanced phytosanitary treatment with high-throughput cold chain logistics.
The facility that utilises electron-beam irradiation technology will span over 340,000 square feet, with approximately 20% dedicated to advanced phytosanitary technology and the remaining 80% optimized for cold storage logistics, including state-of-the-art refrigerated warehousing, loading docks, and office space. The facility is expected to reduce spoilage and inspection delays for over 1.5 million tons of agricultural cargo annually.
Further details are available in the Reveam announcement.
